Jr Knights - Competitive
Nordonia Jr. Knights Basketball Program (2nd–6th Grade Boys & Girls)
The Nordonia Jr. Knights program is focused on developing well-rounded student-athletes—on and off the court. Open to boys and girls in 2nd through 6th grade, the season begins with a 10-week preseason clinic led by professional trainers. Teams practice twice a week starting in November and are each assigned a dedicated trainer from our new partners at Run The Show. Throughout the season, players compete in 30+ games, including 12 league games and 3 tournaments. We teach the game the right way, build strong character, and foster a true passion for basketball.
Who
You must live or go to a school in the Nordonia Hills Area.
Grade
2nd- 6th for both boys/girls.
Practices

League Play
Games start late Nov and go through end of January. All games are on the weekends. You will play roughly 12-14 games.

Cost
$90 per month which is a GREAT PRICE. 5 Months of Basketball for $450. We a monthly have payment plan.
Team Pro Trainer
Each team is assigned a Run The Show basketball trainer to work on development skills at practice throughout the season
Tournaments
You will play in 3 tournaments roughly 10-15 games worth. Typically in November, over Christmas break or in February.

Where are practices held? Nordonia Schools, RTS Facility
Any idea when practices will be (day of week and time) and how many practices for 3rd graders? This is based on Head coach, Team & availability. They are held 2-3 days during the week Mon-Fri. 5pm-9pm
Are games during the week or just on weekends? Are there multiple games per week? Games are on Sat or Sun. There could be a double header in there to make sure each team gets 12 games in. Tournaments are also on the weekends
What happens if my son doesn't make the team? Does he have the option to play non-competitive? We do offer a great Jr NBA program for players who don't make the Jr Knights teams. We would prefer if our program places them in the correct fit for them.
When is payment due? Deposit is due within 48hrs of offering to be on the team. $150 non refundable.
Where are tournaments held and are there extra costs for these? Locally within max of 30-45 mins. No extra cost this is built in
Is the 10 week pre-season clinic training required or optional? It's not required but a great perk and opportunity for players to get ready for the season.
How many kids will be on the team? 8-10 players
Are there more than one team? This is based on how many kids try out. Typically we have had multiple teams at all levels in the past.
Do you do team fundraisers? Yes we do have teams do a team fundraiser as this a great way for our cost to stay well below the market prices.
Are games during the week or just on weekends? Practices are during the week games are on the weekend Sat or Sunday. There could be a double header to make sure you guys your 12-14 games.| Tournaments are also on the weekend.
Q & A For New Jr KNIGHTS Families
*** All games are within a 20-40 min drive of Nordonia Hills unless all parents agree on something different.
PAYMENT: To be accept on the team you must pay your down payment after the coach reaches out to the parents within 48 hours. $150 deposit.
TRYOUTS PROCESS: You must attend a tryout dates or schedule a private workout to be on a team. The NBA will the help of coaches & RTS will form the teams based on the tryouts. 3rd grade being the first year the NBA & RTS will form the team(s).
